Lakeland Florida First Friday October 7, 2011 – “Motorcycle Mania”
Folks had so much fun at February’s Motorcycle Mania, that the organizers at Downtown Lakeland Partnership though bringing this event back. What better time than in October, the weather is cooler and Lakeland people love riding their motorcycles in the fall to be holding such an event. Motorcycle enthusiasts, families and children flock to downtown Lakeland to attend First Friday events are accustomed to the Classic Car show for the past seven years. The event starts at 6p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Move over Daytona Bikefest, here comes Lakeland FL Motorcycle Mania. A fun filled event for the whole family to enjoy:
  • Live music along the streets Bay and Kentucky
  • Motorcycles on display on Bay and Pine Street
  • 80 vendors located on Kentucky and Main Street
  • Classic Car Show on Tennessee Ave.
  • Explorations V Children’s Museum open for half price 6-8pm
  • Shops and Restaurants stay open late.
You don’t have to own a motorcycle to attend this event. There are so many vendors and motorcycle on display it will definitely be an exciting event to go. So bring your family and c’mon down to Lakeland and enjoy the activities filled for the whole family. Many streets are closed to accommodate the activities, plan to park in the Bay Street lot, Oak Street, or Main Street parking garage. Remember that Permit Only lots are FREE parking for the public after 5pm – take full advantage of the lots throughout Downtown Lakeland.
